The Hound of the Baskervilles, one of the best known of the Sherlock Holmes novels, was written by Arthur Conan Doyle in 1901.

The story is set on the moors at Baskerville Hall and the nearby Grimpen Mire. After Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead with his face twisted in stark terror, Holmes is called upon to protect his heir, Sir Henry Baskerville.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson investigate the legend of a supernatural hound, a beast that may be stalking the young heir on the fog shrouded moorland that makes up his estate.

The Chapterhouse Theatre Company, now in their 21st year, will be performing for the first time in the beautiful surroundings of Burton Constable Hall

This is an outdoor perforance so please remember to bring something to sit on and warm clothing as it may get chilly towards the end of the evening
