Poetry Workshop - 2nd July

Welcome to the last of our four poetry workshops coming to Burton Constable Hall & Grounds.

This course is open to enthusiasts, novices and beginners of all ages and does not require any experience whatsoever. All participants will be able to submit poems to the anthology which we hope to produce as part of these workshops.

Parklands and Parchment - drawing inspiration from the landscape, the theme will be based on 'my favourite place'  and allow your imagination and emotions to conjure up ideas to contribute to your work.

Further support and education can be taken from our guest poet, Clint Wastling. Clint Wastling’s poetry has been published in Consilience, Dream Catcher, Orbis & Dreich amongst others. Maytree Press published his poetry collection entitled Layers . Clint writes poetry grounded in places he knows well with subjects including family, landscape and geology. His novel, The Geology of Desire, is an LGBTQ thriller set around Whitby in the 1980’s and Hull during World War II. He also has a sci-fi novel, Tyrants Rex, set 3000 years in the future. Both are published by Stairwell Books. Clint also has a full collection of poetry being published in late 2022.
